With high pressure riding in across the United Kingdom it's going to be a largely dry day to come. Overall we expect a good deal of cloud with some fog over the hills. Some breaks in the cloud may allow a few sunnier spells inn the afternoon. Across Northern Ireland the cloud will be thickening up through the day with outbreaks of rain coming in later in the afternoon. The winds will be increasing across northern Britain during the day. Expect maximum temperatures of 6 to 10 Celsius.
Sunday night
Windy in the north and the west this evening and overnight. A wet evening to come with heavier rain across north west Scotland and Northern Ireland. Lighter rain comes into Cornwall. Overnight that rain affects most of Scotland, Wales and western parts of England. Central and eastern parts of England remain dry but cloudy. Expect lows of 1 to 4 Celsius.
Monday
A cloudy but dry morning to come across East Anglia and the south east along with Northern Ireland. Wet with heavy spells of rain across the rest of Britain this morning and as this clears and moves into East Anglia and the south east in the afternoon, it turns colder with wintry showers across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Rain across East Anglia and the south east in the evening clears late in the night. Wintry showers continue across northern Scotland otherwise a dry, colder night with a risk of some icy patches. Expect top temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.
Tuesday
Rain is expected across northern parts of Scotland throughout the day. Quite a windy day to come for Scotland. For England, Wales, Northern Ireland and southern Scotland it will be a dry day with good spells of sunshine. A front brings rain in across most of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Cumbria tonight. Colder in the south with a risk of a frost. Expect top temperatures of 7 to 8 Celsius.
