While some central and eastern areas may escape with a dry day, it's going to be a rather cold, blustery day with occasional, fast moving showers, these of rain, sleet, snow and hail In the south these will be wintry over high round. Expect maximum temperatures of 4 to 8 Celsius but feeling much colder in the strong winds.

Monday night
Throughout the evening and the night it's going to remain very windy that will inhibit frost formation tonight. Western parts of the country will be cloudy with showers into the evening, these heavy across Scotland with snow showers on the hills. A number of showers will affect many parts of Britain in the night and these will be wintry over high ground. Expect lows of 2 to 4 Celsius.

Tuesday
Another very windy day to come across the country with gales in the north These brisk westerly winds will continue to feed in showers into western parts of the United Kingdom, these wintry over the hills. Most central and eastern areas should be chiefly dry with the west of the sunshine though a shower can't be ruled out. Most of the showers will fade away this evening but a few may affect the far south of England. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 8 Celsius.

Wednesday
Milder, south westerly winds will be developing a we go through the day. Most dry across the country with sunny spells but more cloudy across the west with rain into western Scotland, Northern Ireland, western Wales and Cornwall. This spreads in across all of Scotland into northern England, Wales and the West Country in the night. Some snow still to come over the high ground of Scotland. Expect top temperatures of 7 to 9 Celsius.
