Tuesday
Rather a cloudy morning for all. Mostly dry in central and eastern areas, but some showery bursts of rain in the west. The showers falling as snow on the hills of Wales and northwest England, with more persistent snow in Scotland and over the hills of Northern Ireland. An area of rain spreads through Ireland and into Wales and the Midlands this afternoon, some heavy in western Wales. A few showers to the east, with snow showers continuing over northwest England and western Scotland. Scattered showers in the far south of England. Highs at 5 to 8C.

Tuesday Night
An area of rain passing through the southern half of England overnight. Staying damp in the west with further rain throughout in Ireland, Wales and southwest England. The more persistent rain clears from the east of England later, with drier weather arriving in the north. A frost in the north with lows of -3C in central Scotland, but 8C in southwest England.

Wednesday
A warm front affecting western parts of the country and Ireland on Wednesday. This brings cloud and rain or drizzle here, this lasting throughout the day. Further east and north it should be drier with broken cloud and some bright spells, thanks to a weak ridge of high pressure. Fronts affecting western Scotland later, bringing heavier rain and gales in the west. Highs at 6 to 11C.

Thursday
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Thursday. A cold front passing southeast bringing rain across East Anglia, the Midlands and southern England in the morning, possibly lingering until evening in the far southeast. Severe gales and wintry showers in northern and western Scotland and Ireland. Fair elsewhere with sunny spells. Highs at 7 to 10C for most, but cooler weather spreading in from the west through the day.
