Monday
A deep area of low pressure runs north of Britain today to bring a spell of stormy weather later tonight. Outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain spills in across all but The Midlands, East Anglia and the south east during this morning as it clears Northern Ireland. In the afternoon the rain becomes lighter as it tracks east clearing northern England. Gusts of 60-70 mph develop in the north. maximum temperatures of 8 to 13 Celsius north to south.

Monday night
A very windy evening with potentially damaging wind gusts of 80-90mph to affect northern Scotland. These will tend to lessen during the night. Rain across East Anglia and the south this evening clears with a number of heavy showers across northern Scotland, some wintry over the Highlands. Much of Britain will be dry, windy and clear in the night as it turns colder. Expect lows of 2 to 7 Celsius.

Tuesday
With high pressure building in, much of the country is looking fine and dry with good sunny spells as strong winds across Scotland lessen. Just a few showers to affect north western parts of Scotland. Still mild in the south but cooler in the north. During the evening and night the winds will become strong from the south as rain spreads in across Northern Ireland, Wales and south west England. Expect top temperatures of to 7 to 12 Celsius.

Wednesday
This morning rain in the west spills east but staying dry across East Anglia and the south east. A wet and windy afternoon for much of Britain with spells of rain, this heavy in the north and the west but patchy in the south east. Gales will affect northern Britain and western coasts. Rain clears much of the country this evening then dry overnight with a frost in the north. Expect top temperatures of 7 to 11 Celsius.
