Tuesday
A dry start to the day for most areas. There will be some good spells of sunshine this morning in Wales, England and Scotland, although always a tendency for more cloud in the south. A few showers may affect northwest Scotland, but overall it should be dry. The afternoon is going to be seeing little change with good spells of sunshine for many, especially in northern England and southern Scotland. The sunshine hazier in the south, with some thicker cloud in northern Scotland. Highs at 7 to 11C.
Tuesday Night
A dry evening with some lengthy clear spells. A frost forming by the morning in more sheltered areas. Cloud is gong to be increasing across southwest England and southern Ireland where there will be some rain, this then edging into the rest of Ireland and the far southwest of England by morning. Winds increasing in the west later too. Staying dry elsewhere. Lows at 0 to 5C.
Wednesday
With high pressure in the North Sea and low pressure northwest of Scotland today, a southerly flow is going to be affecting the UK and Ireland. This brings a dry start to the east, but cloud, rain and increased winds in the west will be bringing rain, this then spreading east through all areas in the afternoon. Turning drier in Ireland and western areas later. Gales affecting Scotland and northwest England. Highs at 7 to 11C.
Thursday
High pressure to the east on Thursday with low pressure to the west. Cloud and some rain will be moving through Ireland in the morning, and then into Wales and the west of Scotland and England in the afternoon. Dry for central and eastern areas with morning sunshine, but clouding over in the afternoon. Highs near 9 to 12C.
