Friday
A wet start to the morning across much of England and eastern Wales as a front lies north to south through the area. It will be staying damp into this afternoon, especially across central and southern England and feeling increasingly cold here too. Tending to turn drier in northeast England this afternoon, and drier overall in East Anglia and southeast England. Scotland will be cloudy and damp in the east with drizzle at times, but it should be dry elsewhere with the highest chance of some brightness in the west. Broken cloud in Northern Ireland with some bright spells here and staying dry. Some drizzle and cloud in southwest England, but dry for western Wales. Highs at 6 to 10C and feeling cold in England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland.
Friday night
A damp and dreary evening across southern and western England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland. Overnight the drizzle and rain will be tending to fade away and then most areas will become dry, although staying cloudy. Some drizzle continues on eastern coasts, perhaps turning wintry over the hills in the east. Lows near -1 to 3C.
Saturday
A ridge of high pressure extends through Scotland and Ireland on Saturday. A moderate northeasterly flow in England and Wales brings plenty of cloud and cold conditions. There will be outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow in eastern and central areas, most of it light. Scotland should be largely dry, but some spots of rain or sleet ii the east, a risk of some brightness in the west. Feeling cool for all with highs at 5 to 7C.
Sunday
A ridge of high pressure persists in Scotland and Ireland on Sunday. The northeasterly flow in England and Wales brings further cloud and some outbreaks of drizzle and rain, mostly in central and eastern areas of England and Scotland. Drier for western Scotland and Ireland where there could be a few brighter spells. Feeling cold in the wind with temperatures at 5 to 8C.
