Breaking cloud Mostly dry seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
Plenty of cloud around through Tuesday. There will be some breaks in the cloud and so some sunny spells are likely to develop here and there. Where the bright spells do occur is going to be rather random, but there does seem to be a tendency for the cloud to break more in southern and eastern areas as weell as western Wales and the west of Scotland. It should be largely dry, but a risk of some spots of drizzle on the hills. Highs at 14C in any sunshine in the south, just 8C in the cloudier areas.

Tuesday night
Some clearer skies overnight in England and Wales and this could allow a slight ground frost to form. Some cloud around the coasts. Thicker cloud in Scotland with a chance of a few spots of rain and drizzle here. Lows near 5C in the cloud, perhaps tom 1C under the clearer skies.

Wednesday
High pressure is likely to be centred over Ireland on Wednesday. This brings plenty of dry weather to the UK and Ireland. There is likely to be less cloud around than recent days, although once again trying to predict where it will break is very difficult. It is likely that the best sunshine will be in more western areas. Highs near 10 to 14C.

Thursday
High pressure remains over Ireland on Thursday. A cold front moving into northern Scotland will be bringing rain here. Thicker cloud slips onto eastern coasts and well as this may bring some patchy rain over East Anglia and southeast England. Further west it is likely to be drier with sunny spells, the best of these through Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland. Highs around 8C in East Anglia and the southeast, 12C in the west.
