Wednesday
High pressure across Britain and Ireland during Wednesday. Dry almost everywhere, apart from isolated drizzly showers, most likely toward north-east England, but amounting to very little. Clouds breaking up more widely than recent days, although it will remain very hazy, with quite poor visibility. Best sunshine toward western regions. Light winds for most, locally a cool northerly breeze near eastern coasts of England. Temperatures reaching 10 to 13C for many by early afternoon.

Wednesday night
Areas of mist and fog forming overnight where skies are clearest. Variable cloud will come and go, gradually thickening from the west across western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Mostly light winds, although a north-easterly breeze across East Anglia. A slight frost is possible in rural areas, overnight lows of 0 to 3C, locally just below freezing.

Thursday
High pressure continues to bring a lot of dry weather. Again fairly hazy for many areas, although sunshine should be widespread. Light winds almost everywhere, but locally a fresher north-easterly breeze in south-east England, and a south-westerly breeze in north-western parts of Scotland and Ireland. Patchy rain and drizzle likely to develop as the day goes on across north-western Scotland. Cloud may spread inland off the North Sea into eastern counties of England, holding back temperatures. Highs between 8 and 13C.

Friday
High pressure centred to the west of Ireland on Friday. A weak cold front moves gradually south, bringing a band of cloud and a little patchy rain to central and eastern regions of Scotland and England, although may amount to very little. Brighter skies spreading from the north, with a little sunshine coming through. Drier and brighter for Wales and the south-west. Dry overall for Ireland, brighter skies developing through the day. A few showers may affect north-eastern Scotland. Highs between 9 and 12C.
