Rain passes east Brighter west seiten=4 abk=focus
Thursday
A cloudy and damp morning in northern and eastern parts of the country. The rain is likely to be generally light, but some moderate bursts are likely on the hills, especially over Scotland where there will be snow. Turning brighter in the west with some sunny spells developing, and this brighter weather will edge eastwards as the morning and afternoon progress. Staying cloudy and damp over northern and eastern parts of Scotland, with outbreaks of rain, most on the hills. It may be that the coasts of northeast England stay damp too. Highs near 7 to 12C.
Thursday night
Cloudy and damp over eastern Scotland and parts of northeast England during the evening. It is going to be dry elsewhere with skies clearing. A slight frost forming by the morning as wends fall light. Scattered showers in northern and western Scotland, and then rain arriving through southern Ireland after midnight, this reaching southwest England by the morning. Lows at 0 to 3C.
Friday
A small area of low pressure to the south of Ireland on Friday, this bringing rain across Ireland, Wales and southwest England in the morning. This then pushes into the rest of Wales and southern England in the afternoon, although this is only going to be light for most, although more persistent on southern coasts. Northern and western Scotland will be rather showery, but the east and south should be drier with sunny spells. It should stay dry in northern England and Northern Ireland too. Highs at 7 to 11C.
Saturday
Another small area of low pressure crossing the UK on Saturday. This takes some heavy bursts of rain through all parts of the country, and rather windy at first as well. The rain should clear eastern areas in the afternoon, with brighter weather then following from the west. Highs near 7 to 15C.
