Cooler, dry south Showers north seiten=4 abk=focus

Saturday
A bright and breezy morning for much of England and Wales. There will be some good spells of sunshine, although some cloud floating around too. There is the chance of an odd shower over parts of Cumbria this afternoon, and it is here where there may be more cloud too, but for most it should stay dry. Windier in Scotland and Ireland with heavier showers here, especially in western Scotland. Better in eastern Scotland where it should be dry. Windy with gales in western Scotland. Highs near 14 to 18C.

Saturday night
The showers continue to be blown into northern and western Scotland overnight, although fading from Northern Ireland. Winds should ease as the night progresses. For other parts of Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales it should be a dry night with some good clear spells. Lows near 3 to 8C.

Sunday
A ridge of high pressure builds across the country on Sunday. There will be some cloud and a few showers developing over the north and west of Scotland as well as Ireland. Elsewhere it should be dry with sunny spells, the best of them always in the south. Highs at 11 to 20C.

Monday
High pressure remains to the west of Ireland through Monday. There is a risk of a fair amount of cloud affecting eastern parts of England, perhaps even giving an odd spot of rain. To the west is where cloud will be more broken, the best sunshine occurring here. Tops around 11 to 18C.
