Wednesday
High pressure is going to be dominating the weather through the UK and Ireland again today. There will be sunny spells with broken amount of cloud through the day. Little changes into this afternoon with the best of the sunshine to the west. Thicker cloud affects the western Isles of Scotland and western Ireland. Staying dry. Highs at 12C in the far west of Scotland, 20C in southern England where it will be breezy too.

Wednesday night
A dry night with long clear spells across most of England, Wales and the east of Scotland and eastern Ireland. Some patches of cloud affecting the far southeast of England as well as the far west of Ireland and western Scotland. Turning cloudier across the far south of England too and staying windy here too. A cold night with a frost in parts of Wales and northern England, lows at 1C here, nearer 6C in the cloudier areas.

Thursday
High pressure persists through Ireland and the UK on Thursday. A thundery area of rain will be pushing into southern parts of England during the afternoon, with a brisk easterly breeze here too. The rain turning heavier through the evening. Some thicker cloud and spots of rain in the far north of Scotland. Drier elsewhere with variable cloud and some bright or sunny spells too, the est in northern England and southern Scotland. A warmer day with highs near a humid 24C in southern England, 17C in northern Scotland.

Friday
An area of low pressure affecting the southern half of the country on Friday. This brings a damp and rather murky morning with outbreaks of rain, this increasingly heavy and thundery. The rain reaching eastern Ireland too. There is the risk of some cloud and spots of rain in eastern Scotland. Elsewhere dry with some broken cloud and the best of any sunshine in western Scotland and western Ireland. Highs near a very warm 26C in southeast England, 14C in the far north of Scotland.
