Thursday
A warm day on Thursday over many areas, and certainly feeling warmer than recent days. A few spots of drizzle affecting the far southwest of England, but for most it is a dry start to the day. There will be good spells of sunshine developing, especially in northern England and southern Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Increasing cloud through southwest England, southern Ireland and the south of Wales and rather breezy here too. Highs near 25C in the sunshine in southern England, more typically 18 to 23C.

Thursday night
An area of thundery rain passing north into southern England and Wales tonight. The rain becoming heavy in southern Ireland. Some thunderstorms here and there too. Northern parts of England and the rest of Ireland, Wales and Scotland should be dry with clear spells, although always more cloud in northwest Scotland. Lows near a muggy 14C in southern England, 5C in central Scotland and parts of northern England.

Friday
A thundery area of low pressure will be centred in the Channel on Friday. This will be pushing rain through Ireland, Wales and much of southern England and the Midlands in the morning, with some thunderstorms too. rather misty and murky. Drier for northern England and Scotland, although thundery showers and rain arriving here through this afternoon. Many parts of the country then having a rather wet afternoon with periods of rain at times. The far northwest of Scotland should stay dry. Highs near a very warm and muggy 27C in southeast England, cooler in the west at just 14C in Ireland and the far west of Scotland.

Saturday
Low pressure is in the North Sea on Saturday. This has an area of rain wrapped around it, probably extending through eastern Scotland, northern England and then into Wales, southern Ireland and parts of southwest England. The rain always heaviest in eastern areas. Across southern England and Wales it will be a fresher day. Cloud should break with sunny spells developing, although an odd afternoon shower too. Drier for western Scotland and western Ireland where there will be sunny spells. Highs near 10 to 15C in many northern and western areas, 23C in the sunshine in southeast England.
