Tuesday
Broken cloud through England and Wales as well as southern Ireland this morning. There will be some sunny spells coming through, the best of these in the west. Little change is expected during the day with conditions staying dry with good spells of sunshine. More cloud in Scotland and Ireland, with some outbreaks of rain affecting western Scotland. This rain spreading around the northern coasts of Scotland and becoming more persistent into the afternoon. Highs around 22C across a large swathe of central England and eastern Ireland, 12C in western Scotland.

Tuesday night
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain slipping south through Scotland tonight. An increasing threat of rain arriving through northern Ireland and northwest England as the night progresses. Drier for central and southern parts of England and Wales as well as southern Ireland with some clearer skies here. Clear skies in northern Scotland too. Lows near 8C in the far north of Scotland, 12C in southern England.

Wednesday
An area of high pressure to the south of the country on Wednesday with low pressure to the north. The flow is likely to be westerly overall with a front extending through Northern Ireland to southern Scotland. This brings cloud and rain to these areas with outbreaks of rain, most of it in southern Scotland and northern England. The rain tending to turn more patchy through the day, slipping slowly into northern and western Wales. The far south of England and Wales should be dry with sunny spells and feeling warm here too. Cool in Scotland, showers in the north and west but drier to the east. Highs near 25C in southeast England, a cooler 12C in northern Scotland.

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure extends through the country on Thursday. A weak front from central Ireland through Wales and into southern England bringing cloud here. Some spots of drizzle on western hills, including across parts of southwest England. Brighter for northern England and Scotland with sunny spells, the best of the sunshine in the east. Top temperatures at 23C in southern England, 13C in northern Scotland.
