Wednesday
A front brings a band of cloud and rain through Ireland, southern Scotland and northwest England early this morning. The front then slipping southwards as the morning progresses bringing spots of rain across southern Ireland and the rest of northern England by lunchtime, although this very light and patchy in northeast England. Drier for Wales and the southern half of England with sunny spells in central and eastern areas. Always tending to be cluodier in Wales. The rain band crosses Wales and central England this evening bringing a few spots of rain. At the same time drier weather follows to the north with sunny spells developing, although a few showers in northern and western Scotland. A very warm day in southern England at 25C in the southeast, 12C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday night
Cloudy this evening with a few spots of rain in the far south of England at first. This soon clears and then most of England, Wales and Ireland become dry with clear spells. Southwest England and south Wales may well have low cloud lasting throughout the night, with the risk of some drizzle too. High pressure is going to be centred to the southwest of Ireland on Thursday. A weak front persists from southern Ireland through southern England bringing cloud and some spots of drizzle on coasts in southern Ireland and southwest England. Showery spots of rain in northern and western Scotland, but drier to the east and south with broken cloud here. Mostly dry with broken cloud elsewhere, but some sunny spells developing too. Tops near 22C in sunshine over southeast England, 12C in northern Scotland.

A ridge of high pressure builds through Ireland and the UK on Friday. There could be an odd shower at first in more eastern parts, but generally it is going to be a dry day with broken cloud and some sunny spells. The best of the sunshine in more southern parts of England. Spots of rain in northern and western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Highs near 24C in southern England, 12C in northern Scotland.
