Thursday
Some rain and showers affecting northern and western Scotland this morning, this band of showery rain edging slowly south into the afternoon and evening. Some good spells of sunshine in most of England, Wales and Ireland, although some thicker cloud affecting northwest England. Staying fair into the afternoon with more sunshine across England, Wales and Ireland, although cloudier further north. Highs at a fresher 23C in southern England, a chilly 12C in northern Scotland.

Thursday night
Cloud and a few bits of drizzle or light rain affecting western Scotland, the northern coasts of Northern Ireland and northwest England overnight. Drier in eastern Scotland and for the rst of England and Wales with mostly clear skies in the south of England. Lows near 7 to 10C.

Friday
A ridge of high pressure is going to be across the country on Friday. A weak front brings cloud and some spots of drizzle in northern and western Scotland, perhaps with some early morning drizzle in northwest England. Drier for the rest of England, Wales and Ireland with cloud breaking. Some sunny spells then developing, the best of them in the south. Highs at 23C in the far south of England, 12C in northern Scotland.

Saturday
A weak front passing east on Saturday, although pressure tending to stay high, despite low pressure being northwest of Scotland. There will be quite a lot of cloud around on Sunday morning giving some showers. Little changes in the afternoon with a further scattering of showers, these perhaps more widespread and heavier in northern Scotland and through southern and southeastern England. Highs at 24C in the sunshine across southeast England, 16C in northern Scotland.
