A fine morning across much of southern England and Wales. Good spells of sunshine, and these lasting throughout the morning. Rather cloudy across the rest of north and west Wales, northwest England, Scotland and Ireland, with some showery outbreaks of rain or drizzle in northern and western Scotland and the far north of Northern Ireland. This afternoon stays dry with more sunshine in England and southern Wales. Cloud in western Scotland, northwest England and all but the far south of Ireland, some spots of rain on western coasts and hills, but mostly dry. Sunny spells developing in eastern Scotland, dry here too. Highs at 22C in southern England, 12C in northern Scotland.
Friday night
Staying largely cloudy through the night with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. More eastern and southern areas are likely to be dry overall with cloud breaking and some clear spells here and there. Low temperatures could bring a touch of frost in northeast Scotland with lows of 1C in the cairngorms, much milder to the west at 15C in west Wales and southwest England.
Saturday
Pressure does remain largely high over the UK and Ireland on Saturday. However, there will be a fair amount of cloud around and the threat of some spots of showery rain in western and southern England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland. The threat of some heavier showers across much of England and Wales as well as southern and eastern Scotland, although these very hit and miss. Drier in northern and western Scotland and much of Ireland. A few brighter spells developing. Highs at 23C in any brightness in southern England, 15C in northern Scotland.
Sunday
A complex area of low pressure extends through Scotland on Sunday bringing some showery bursts of rain here. Scattered showers in northwest England and Ireland with a fair amount of cloud. Showers in northeast England too, but for southern England it should be dry with some bright or sunny spells. Cloud and some spots of rain in northern and western Wales, but drier and brighter to the south and east of Wales. Highs at 23C in sunshine over the far south of England, 14C in northern Scotland.
