Cloudy, some rain Brighter in south on Sunday seiten=4 abk=focus

Saturday
A cloudy day across Britain and Ireland. Drizzly outbreaks of rain, locally becoming persistent, and may develop into heavy showery bursts, particularly across central and southern England. Little if any sun overall, perhaps brighter skies developing from the west late in the day. Light winds early in the day, although a westerly breeze will tend to freshen. Top afternoon temperatures 17 to 20C for most, but cooler in the far north-west.

Saturday night
Cloudy skies overnight in the north and west will continue to produce patchy rain or drizzle, and some heavier showers in western Scotland. Elsewhere, there will be variable amounts of cloud for central and southern regions, but it will stay dry overall. Breezy, especially western regions. Lowest temperatures around 6 or 7C, but staying closer to 10C for many.

Sunday
A fresh westerly breeze across most of Britain and Ireland, although winds may be light in northern Scotland. Low pressure across northern Britain will bring frequent showery bursts of rain to Scotland and northern England. Mainly dry and bright in Wales, the Midlands and south, with occasional sunshine. Feeling cool in the north-west at just 12 to 15C, whilst highs will reach 17 to 20C in the south-east.

Monday
A lot of uncertainty with the precise details for Monday. A slow moving frontal system is likely to affect the southern half of Britain and Ireland, which may bring a prolonged period of rain. The intensity of this rain, and also its north-south extent is open to question at this stage. Northern Britain is expected to be cool and showery in a fresh north-westerly breeze. Top temperatures disappointing at just 12 to 16C, feeling particularly cool during rain.
