Rain skirts the far south Showers east, sunnier west seiten=4 abk=focus

Monday
This morning an area rain runs towards the channel and is mostly likely to affect and area from south west England to southern Hampshire this morning. This area moves away quickly as it becomes dry and sunnier in the afternoon. A number of showers are forecast for the North and East Midlands and across eastern parts of England and Scotland, drier and sunnier further west. Fine across Northern Ireland and much of Wales. Expect highs of 12 to 17 Celsius.

Monday night
This evening any residual showers soon fade with many areas ending the day with some late evening sunshine. Overnight much of the country remains dry with clear spells but more cloud may be found around North Sea coasts which could give a few showers to eastern parts of East Anglia. Expect lows of 7 to 11 Celsius.

Tuesday
For Scotland and eastern parts of England we could see a good deal of cloud and in the afternoon some of this may filter in across central parts of England and eastern Wales. The cloud may be thick enough for a few showers over the Pennines, eastern Scotland and the Southern Uplands, otherwise it's dry across the country. A fine, dry evening and night to come with well broken cloud. Top temperatures of 14 to 22 Celsius.

Wednesday
Apart from a few widely, scattered, light showers over Wales and perhaps northern England, it is looking dry across the country on Wednesday. Lots of sunshine is expected this morning. More cloud generally develops in the afternoon but still with good sunny spells. It should be a fine evening to come with some late sunshine across the country and it remains dry overnight except for some rain in the far north of Scotland. Expect top temperatures of 16 to 23 Celsius.
