Wednesday
Some sunny spells to start this morning across much of central and southern England and the east of Wales. It should be staying dry here and will remain fair into this afternoon. Feeling increasingly humid too. Thicker cloud affecting the west of Wales, northwest England, Scotland and Ireland. Some spots of drizzle on western coasts and hills of Scotland, with some more persistent rain in western Scotland. Patchy rain then spreads through all but the far north of Scotland this evening, and also crosses northern England, eventually reaching the Midlands and the rest of Wales. Highs at 24C in the sunshine over southeast England, just 12C in the cloud in northern Scotland.
Wednesday night
Staying rather cloudy for many areas during tonight. There will be some spots of rain and drizzle in northern England and Scotland as well as the Midlands and Wales at first. Also some spots of rain in Ireland. Many areas should become dry as the night progresses. A few clear spells in southern England. Lows near 5C in northern Scotland, 10C in southern England.
Thursday
High pressure to the south of the country on Thursday, low pressure west of Ireland. Weak fronts will be affecting more western and northern areas. These bring plenty of cloud to more western parts of England and Wales, with the risk of some drizzle in the west of Scotland. Patchy rain in northern and western Ireland but drier in the south and east. Through more central and eastern areas of Wales, England and Scotland the day is likely to be warm with cloud breaking and some sunny spells developing. Tops temperatures at 25C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.
Friday
Low pressure remains west of Ireland on Friday. Fronts pass eastwards as the day progresses. It should be dry at first with sunny spells in eastern areas, but then an area of cloud and rain will be moving in with the fronts, crossing Ireland in the morning and reaching western Wales, Scotland and England by lunchtime. The rain then passes eastwards into the afternoon, clearing eastern England through the evening. Drier weather then follows to the west as the rain clears. Highs at 24C in early sunshine in southeast England, 16C in northern Scotland.
