Friday
Partly cloudy, but also periods of sunshine for many. A few spots of rain toward the west in the morning. By afternoon, risk of locally slow moving areas of rain in the north-east of Scotland & England. Very light winds overall, although a fresher south-westerly in western Scotland. Temperatures 16 to 19C in the north & west, but warm and humid in central & south-east England, highs reaching 22 to 25C.
Friday night
The remnants of any showers in the north-east will fade, leaving all regions dry overnight as pressure builds from the west. Light winds. Clouds breaking to give clear spells. Mild in the south and east, around 10 to 13C. Lowest temperatures in the north and west, 7 to 10C in urban areas, but locally 5C in sheltered rural valleys.
Saturday
A ridge of high pressure across Britain brings a fair and sunny day to most areas, best sunshine in the east. Clouds will slowly build from the west as fronts approach Ireland. Patchy rain becoming persistent in the west and north-west of Ireland and Scotland by evening. Mainly light winds, but a freshening south-westerly breeze in western regions. Highs 20 to 25C, warmest Midlands & south.
Sunday
Weakening fronts push south-east, producing a lot of cloud, and patchy outbreaks of rain, most persistent in west Wales, but very little reaching eastern England. Low pressure centred north of Scotland will drive blustery showers across the far north-west of Britain and Ireland on a strong south-westerly wind, where it will feel cool at 16C. Warmest in the south-east, highs up to 24C in any sunshine.
