Monday
Some heavy bursts of rain across southern England in the morning, heading east into East Anglia by afternoon. Cloudy with intermittent rain in the north & west of Britain & Ireland. By afternoon, risk thundery bursts for Scotland, perhaps northern England. Brighter skies developing for Wales & the south-west. Breezy, particularly western coasts. Highs 18 to 21C in the west & north, but a humid 25C in the south-east.
Monday night
Brightening skies spread increasingly from the south-west on Monday evening, with much of England & Wales dry and sunny to end the day. Heavy bursts of rain linger in northern Scotland. Most places dry overnight, although a few scattered showers may affect coasts in the west & north-west. Winds becoming light. Temperatures in the range 8 to 13C, lowest in rural western areas where skies clear.
Tuesday
Dry and bright for many, as high pressure builds from the west across the British Isles. A good amount of sunshine across northern areas, although cloud building slowly during the day. A slow moving front across the English Channel means southern counties may see overcast skies, but some hazy sunshine coming through. Patchy rain may linger around the Channel Islands. Mostly very light winds. Highs 17 to 23C.
Wednesday
Plenty of dry and sunny weather for Scotland, northern England and much of Ireland. The Midlands may also remain dry with hazy sunshine. However, fronts moving north from continental Europe bring an increasing risk of thundery rain for southern England, although details are very uncertain. Light winds in the north, but a strong easterly wind may affect southern coasts. Highs 18 to 24C.
