For most of the rest of the UK and Ireland the day will be dry with sunny spells and feeing warm too. Thicker cloud in northwest Scotland may produce a few spots of rain here. Highs near 16C in northwest Scotland, but to 28C in southern England.

This brings heavy, sometimes thundery rain into Ireland, Wales, central and southern England. Thundery showers also developing over western Scotland later as rain also moves through the Midlands and East Anglia. Eastern Scotland and much of northern England should be staying dry with sunny spells. Highs at 18 to 24C.
