A dry and bright day for most of Britain and Ireland, as pressure builds slowly from the south-west. Sunny spells developing. Scattered light showers toward the north-west of Scotland & Northern Ireland. A fresh west to north-westerly breeze, strongest in the morning for eastern regions. After a cool start, temperatures reaching highs of 16 or 17C in the north & west, and 19 to 21C in the south-east.
Saturday night
Staying dry with clearing skies for most areas overnight. Winds becoming very light. Patches of mist and fog may form in some low lying areas, although this is likely to soon clear after dawn on Sunday. Temperatures widely dipping below 10C, and lows down to 5C in some rural valleys of Wales and northern England. Locally 2 or 3C in Scottish Highland glens, with a touch of grass frost.
Sunday
Slack high pressure will bring dry conditions to Britain. Brightest skies toward the east. Thicker cloud across western regions. A little patchy rain encroaching into Ireland and perhaps the far south-west of England. Isolated drizzly showers over northern hills of Britain. Light winds overall. Temperatures between 17 and 22C, warmest in the east. Cooler on the coast with slight sea breezes.
Monday
A quiet day, with slack pressure across the British Isles. Dry almost everywhere. Small risk of isolated slow moving showers over the hills in the north & west. Some sunshine, typically best in coastal areas in the south and south-west, but a lot of cloud is likely elsewhere. Light winds and coastal sea breezes. A northerly breeze may freshen on the east coast. A chilly start for some. Highs 18 to 22C.
