Wednesday
Still some bits and pieces of rain in eastern Scotland and the far northeast of England on Wednesday morning. This continues on and off here until early afternoon, although it will be slowly fading. A further area of rain crossing Ireland this morning, reaching Wales and southwest England. Drier in between with some sunny spells here. More persistent rain passing eastwards into the afternoon, affecting western Scotland, the Midlands and much of western and southern England and Wales in the by evening. Staying mostly dry in the east of England with a few bright or sunny spells here Improving in eastern Scotland. Tops at 23C in East Anglia and southeast England, nearer 17 to 19C elsewhere.

Wednesday night
An area of rain tracking eastwards during tonight. Most places will be seeing the rain, this turning more showery as it heads east. Drier weather into Ireland this evening, this edging into Wales, western Scotland and southwest England in the early hours. A damp or wet end to the night in eastern and southern Scotland as well as much of eastern, central and southern England. Lows near 8 to 14C.

Thursday
Low pressure west of Scotland on Thursday. A weak front over East Anglia and southern England bringing a cloudy and damp start here with some outbreaks of mainly light rain. This tending to fade further through the day with many parts then dry, although always plenty of cloud. More broken cloud over the rest of the country with a few brighter spells, but some showers on western coasts and hills as well as through Ireland. Highs at 18 to 23C.

Friday
Fronts will be heading east on Friday, pushed by low pressure west of Scotland. The fronts bringing a band of cloud and rain with it, this turning increasingly patchy as it moves eastwards. A warm start and some bright spells over East Anglia and southeast England before patchy rain arrives later. Staying cloudier in the west with some showers at times, more persistent rain into western Ireland and western Scotland. Breezy in the north and west. Highs near 24C in the southeast, 17 to 20C for most other places.
