Sunday
It becomes very windy across the country today but these moderate in the south. An area of heavy rain, possibly with embedded thunderstorms with torrential downpours across Northern Ireland and south west England is going to push north affecting an area from about Wales, the South Midlands into south east England this morning as it turns dry and sunny across the West Country. This makes slow progress affecting North Wales much of the Midlands into East Anglia in the afternoon to The north and south it's fine, dry and sunny. Fresher conditions come in behind the rain but very warm ahead of it with tops temperatures across the country of 17 to 26C Celsius.
Sunday night
This evening the rain should lie across Northern Ireland and northern parts of England as it clouds over in the southwest as another pulse of heavy rain approaches. Overnight we expect an areas of rain across southern Scotland and across southern Wales and the far south of England. Strong winds will affect northern Scotland and also quite windy across southern England. Expect lows of 10 to 14 Celsius.
Monday
As a deep area of low pressure for this time of year moves across southern England towards north east England, heavy outbreaks of thundery rain will push north into much of Britain with a risk of some torrential downpours and flash flooding. The rain is likely to persist through much of the day. Brighter across Northern Ireland with showers. It turns mainly dry across Wales and central and southern parts of England tonight with rain across the north. Strong winds will affect Britain. Expect high temperatures of 16 to 20 Celsius.
Tuesday
Windy across northern Scotland and later in the day across the far south of England. Showers will affect the north in the morning and the afternoon along with sunny spells. Another area of heavy rain in the south will clear to occasional showers for Wales and south west England in the afternoon. In the night some rain may affect northern Scotland and perhaps the far south of England. Expect top temperatures of 15 to 16 Celsius.
