Tuesday
A dry and bright start to the day across much of Ireland, Wales and much of England as well as all but the east of Scotland. Over eastern Scotland it is likely to be staying cloudy and wet with further outbreaks of rain here and windy too. Rain extends fromt southern Ireland to southwest England, this area passing northwards through the morning, to reach much of southern Wales and southern England by midday. he rain band then heads into the rest of Ireland, Wales, central and southern England through this afternoon, turning more patchy. Drier and more murky weather follows to the south. Mostly dry in Scotland, although a few spots of rain on the hills. Highs near 15 to 19C.

Tuesday night
An area of rain affecting southern Ireland, Wales and southern England overnight. This rain area passes northwards through the night, reaching Northern Ireland and northern England by the morning. There is a risk of heavier rain in places. Broken cloud and outbreaks of rain in western and southern Scotland, but dry in central and northern Scotland with broken cloud here. Lows at 7C in central Scotland, 15C in southeast England.

Wednesday
A large area of low pressure will be centred just to the northwest of Scotland on Wednesday. A band of cloud and rain affecting much of northern and eastern England on Wednesday morning as a front passes east. Further outbreaks of rain in southern Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland at first, although slowly clearing. Drier and brighter conditions follow to the west with sunny spells and showers as well as breezier conditions. Heavy showers for western Scotland. Becoming brighter for most through the afternoon as rain clears eastwards with sunny spells and showers, most in the west. Highs near 15 to 18C.

Thursday
Low pressure will be to the northwest of Scotland on Thursday. This brings a mix of bright spells and showers over much of Scotland, Ireland, western England and Wales. A front over the far south and southeast of England gives cloud and rain, some of it heavy. Drier over eastern parts of Scotland, much of the eastern Midlands, East Anglia and northeast England, perhaps with some sunnier spells here. Highs near 14 to 18C.
