Sunny spells & showers Most showers to west seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
Scattered showers to start this morning over England and Wales, most in the far southeast. The majority of places should be dry with broken cloud and sunny spells. Heavier showers in western Scotland, perhaps with more persistent rain here, this turning patchier into this afternoon. Elsewhere the afternoon will be mostly dry in the east, although further showers in the west. Highs near 14 to 19C.

Thursday night
Further showers blowing onto western and southern coasts and hills tonight, an odd one making it further inland. More northern and eastern areas will be dry with clearer spells throughout the night. Lows near a chilly 5 to 10C.

Friday
Low pressure remains to the northwest of Scotland on Friday. This brings a southwest flow with some showers affecting western coasts and hills. A few showers affecting southern coasts too. Mostly dry with broken cloud and sunny spells in eastern areas, although even here there could be an occasional shower. Little change is expected during the day. Highs near 16 to 21C.

Saturday
A ridge of high pressure to the east of the country brings a muggy, bright start to Saturday over much of England and Wales. However, as the day progresses rain may spread to southern Wales and southern England. Staying drier in the east with sunny spells. Scattered showers developing over Ireland and Scotland, sunny spells in between the showers. Highs at 17 to 25C.
