Friday
A few bits of low cloud in eastern areas of England and Scotland this morning. This will be breaking up and tending to clear through the morning. All places will then be dry with good spells of warm sunshine, the best of them to the south. Thicker cloud across Ireland bringing rain here, some of it heavy. The cloud thickening in western parts of the UK through the afternoon with some spots of rain in western Wales and southwest England. Highs near 16 to 21C.

Friday night
An area of rain passing through Ireland, Wales and most of England overnight into Saturday. The rain could be heavy in the west, although lighter in more southern and eastern parts of England. Drier weather follows through Ireland and southwest England later. Dry and breezy in most of Scotland, although some rain in the south later. Lows near 9 to 15C.

Saturday
An area of low pressure is going to be centred over western Scotland on Saturday. This brings cloud and rain through much of Northern Ireland and Scotland, with rain clearing eastern coasts too. Brighter weather and drier conditions across Ireland, Wales and much of England, although always the threat of showers on western and southern coasts and hills. Bright or sunny spells will occur mainly inland. Highs near 14 to 18C.

Sunday
A complex area of low pressure centred through Ireland on Sunday. An area of cloud and rain affects much of Ireland during Sunday morning, this spreading into Wales and southwest England in the afternoon. Some showers across the Midlands and western Scotland. Eastern areas will be dry with rather a lot of cloud, although some bright spells in northern Scotland. Tops of 12 to 16C.
