Windy, unsettled and cool Bands of heavy showers, rain seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
A deep area of low pressure across the south west will bring a very unsettled and windy day across the south. A mass of cloud and bands of showery rain, some locally heavy with a risk of isolated thunderstorms will be swirling around England and Wales, although northern parts of England escape with a mainly dry day. Another area of persistent rain is expected across northern Scotland. Best of the weather today should be across Northern Ireland and south west Scotland. Expect top temperatures across the country of 13 to 18C Celsius.
Monday night
Even windier this evening and tonight in the far south of England with coastal gales and gusts up to 45 mph possible inland. Further bands of heavy showers will be rotating through much of England and Wales. Heavy rain across northern Scotland clears away this evening. Much of northern Britain should be dry overnight. A mild night to come. Expect lows of 9 to 12 Celsius.
Tuesday
Gales in the far south east of England will moderate this morning. Overall it's a cloudy, cool day with lots of showers and longer spells of rain. Again Northern Ireland looks best with a dry day to come. Many areas see the showers fading this evening. Overnight another area of heavy rain may threaten south eastern parts of England and East Anglia as it becomes windy again along the channel coasts. Expect high temperatures of 12 to 18 Celsius.
Wednesday
Another area of low pressure may run up from the channel into south east England today as it becomes very windy across much of England and Wales. There is uncertainty on the northward extent of the rain area today. Presently spells of heavy rain are expected across northeast England down into central and southern parts of England, and perhaps southern Wales. A number of showers to come for northern Scotland. The rest of the country may be dry albeit rather cloudy. During the night that area of heavy rain may be across the eastern half of England to the Welsh Border. Expect top temperatures of 13 to 17 Celsius.
