Sunday
A chilly start and a misty one too across England and Wales with some morning fog patches, some of these may be locally dense and take some time to clear. In the afternoon that rain spreads across Scotland, north west England, western Wales and a few spots in the south west. Elsewhere it remains dry and bright with sunshine turning hazy. Expect top temperatures across the country of 14 to 19C Celsius.

Sunday night
This evening that area of rain affects Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland and Wales then drifts erratically into the Midlands and the south west of England during the night. The rain may be heavy across south west Scotland, north west England, north west Wales and Northern Ireland. A milder night to come underneath the cloud and the rain. Expect lows of 10 to 13 Celsius.

Monday
A cloudy, wet morning across much of the United Kingdom. This clears to occasional heavy showers across Northern Ireland, western Scotland, Wales and south west England this afternoon while rain persists in the east. The last of the rain clears East Anglia and the south east this evening with showers into south west England, Wales and northern Scotland tonight. Expect high temperatures of 13 to 16 Celsius.

Tuesday
A breezy, chilly day with a good deal of cloud along with showers and some longer spells of rain. This may be heaviest across Wales and southern parts of England. Most places to turn dry this evening ahead of a mainly dry night although some rain may reach parts of Northern Ireland by morning. Expect top temperatures of 13 to 16 Celsius.
