Chilly & damp Better west seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
Quite a damp start to the morning over much of southern and central England. A small area of low pressure will be bringing a threat of some heavy showers, and the risk of a few cracks of thunder too. An area of cloud and more persistent rain affects southeastern Scotland, this area drifting down northeastern coasts into the afternoon, reaching north Norfolk late this evening. Further west the day is likely to be a dry one, although morning showers in Wales and southwest England. Probably becoming brighter too in western areas and across all but the northeast of Scotland. A chilly day at just 12 to 15C.

Showers should be clearing from the southeast and East Anglia during the night, although not before one or two heavy ones have occurred. Other parts of the UK and Ireland should be dry with broken cloud, although a further area of cloud, rain and showers returns to western Ireland and western Scotland later. Temperatures dipping to 2C in the clearer skies over central Scotland, 10C in southeast England.

Wednesday
A weak ridge of high pressure building on Wednesday to bring a mostly dry start to the morning with some spells of sunshine. There may be a few mist patches at first, but these son clearing. Thicker cloud arrives in Ireland and the west of Scotland as a front moves in, this bringing some outbreaks of mostly light rain. The rain then edges through the rest of Scotland, northwest England, Wales and southwest England during the afternoon, with brighter, showerier weather into the west of Ireland. Probably remaining dry in much of central and eastern England. Tops at 12C in northern Scotland, 18C in southeast England.

Thursday
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Thursday bringing mixed conditions to much of the UK. A weak front clears East Anglia and southeast England at first, this taking outbreaks of rain with it. Heavy showers in many northern and western areas with the rain merging into longer spells of rain at times. The rain could be thundery too and there is a risk of hail here. Tops at 14 to 18C.
