Lots of sunshine Windy south seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
Dry with plenty of sunshine. Some early fog northern England/southern Scotland, lifting briefly into low cloud, before thinning toward midday. A brisk easterly breeze for southern counties, particularly windy on English Channel coasts. Breezy too in the far north & west of Scotland, with cloudy skies, perhaps drizzly Shetland. Light winds elsewhere. A cool start, but quite warm by afternoon, highs 16 to 19C, locally higher north-east Scotland.

Tuesday night
Areas of low level fog forming again through the night in many northern valleys, most widely around Vale of York. Brisk easterly winds across the Midlands and south should prevent fog forming, although some low cloud may drift in from the North Sea. Dropping chilly in rural Scotland and northern England, lows down to 2 or 3C, and a grass frost. Typically 7 to 10C in the south and east.

Wednesday
A strong area of high pressure continues to influence Britain and Ireland. Dry everywhere, and plenty of sunshine again, although quite hazy and some high level cloud. A strong breeze persists across southern regions, and also the Midlands. Gusting gale force around some exposed spots on the south coast, and feeling quite cool. Very light winds northern Britain. Warm sunshine by afternoon, highs 16 to 19C.

Thursday
Another dry day nationwide with high pressure in charge. Very light winds for many, but a fresh east to north-easterly breeze continues in the south & south-east, particularly around coastal areas. Areas of mist and fog may persist well into the day, probably most widespread around the Vale of York. Sunshine breaking through widely. Starting cool. Daytime highs between 16 and locally 20C.
