Dry and sunny Foggy mornings for some seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
High pressure stays across Britain, bringing continued dry and settled weather. Early fog and low level cloud in northern areas will break up during the morning, otherwise plenty of autumn sunshine once again. Breezy again in southern Britain, strongest winds on the south coast. After a locally cool start, afternoon temperatures will reach 17 to 20C for many, warmest spots again in eastern Scotland, may reach 22C or higher in a few glens.

Thursday night
Little wind away from the far north & south of Britain. Mist and fog reforming again in many low lying areas, particularly across Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, also southern Scotland. Widely foggy too for much of Ireland. Temperatures dipping to around 5 or 6C in fog, nearer 8 to 10C in south-east England. Coldest temperatures likely for north Wales & north-west England, falling close to freezing in rural valleys.

Friday
Little change in the weather pattern. A cool and foggy start in some areas, particularly from the Midlands northwards. Bright sunshine becoming widespread again. Very light winds for most, although expect an easterly breeze on the south coast, and a westerly in northern Scotland, which brings increasing cloud to the West Highlands. Top temperatures again 17 to 20C, highest values likely in the north-east.

Saturday
High pressure remains the story as we start the weekend, although its influence is slowly beginning to weaken. Staying dry throughout Saturday, and after early mist and low cloud clears, there will plenty of sunshine across the country. Thickening cloud may affect southern counties. Very little wind overall. A cool start, with rural grass frost. Daytime highs reaching 16 to 19C, warmest in the south.
