Thursday
A mostly cloudy start to Thursday morning, with a few spots of drizzle over high ground. Generally dry. Rain across Ireland will edge slowly eastwards to bring outbreaks of rain into western Wales and Southwest England during the morning. Some bright spells across eastern Scotland and the far north-east of England although these will be short lived. The rain band then continues eastwards into the afternoon although tends to become more patchy. Quite a wet afternoon for southwest Scotland, northwest England, Wales, and southern England as well as part of the Midlands. Drier weather reaches Ireland, western Wales and western western parts of the UK through the later part of the afternoon. Temperatures rising to 12°C in northern Scotland, 15°C in southern England.
Thursday night
Rain across eastern England at first this evening Will gradually clear into the North Sea. Most bonfire parties Will be dry although cloudy and the atmosphere will feel damp. Air quality is likely to be severely reduced. Generally dry and murky for most overnight with temperatures falling to between 7 and 10°C.
Friday
Low pressure to the northwest of Ireland pushes a front eastwards on Friday. This brings a wet morning to Ireland, Wales, and Southwest England. Scotland and most of central and eastern England start the day dry although with lots of cloud. The front passes east in the afternoon taking the rain with it, as a drier weather arrives in the west. Saturday
A small but vigourous area of low pressure is expected to cross Scotland on Saturday. This takes an area of heavy rain and gale force winds with it. The strongest winds from seven Scotland southwards. Drier and brighter weather follows from the west in the afternoon as the area of low pressure clears into the North Sea, although always a risk of some heavy showers in the west. Temperatures reaching 9°C to 15°C.
