Monday
A very windy but mild day to come across the United Kingdom. Outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain to affect Scotland, northern parts of England and Northern Ireland are expected in the morning with lighter rain for Scotland. Fair and dry for the rest of England with sunny spells across East Anglia and the south east before it clouds over in the afternoon. That rain is expected across western Scotland, north west England, Wales and Northern Ireland in the afternoon, this heaviest across western Scotland and Wales. Another windy day with gales. Winds up to 60 mph are expected over the hills of southern Scotland, the Pennines and Snowdonia. Expect maximums across the country of 12 to 15 Celsius.
Monday night
It continues very windy with gale to severe gales expected through in the evening. Gusts in excess of 60 mph are likely over the northern hills and around exposed western coasts. Overnight the strongest winds will be over northern Scotland with gusts to 70 mph. One area of heavy rain persists through the evening and the night across western Scotland with another area of lighter rain across Wales and parts of north west England. A very mild night with lows of 11 to 13 Celsius.
Tuesday
Still very windy but not as windy as previous days. Overall we expect little overall change today with a cloudy day and sporadic outbreaks of rain. Much of eastern and central England should be dry for the afternoon. Showers are expected for western Scotland tonight with some rain across western parts of England and Wales. Expect top temperatures of 12 to 17 Celsius.
Wednesday
We are not expecting too much change for today although we will find gales once again developing through the Irish Sea into Scotland with gusts to 60 mph over the Highlands. These move out into the North Sea in the evening. More rain to come across Scotland, Northern Ireland along with Wales and western England. Dry but cloudy across the eastern half of England. Dry with clear spells tonight apart from a few showers for north west Scotland. Expect top temperatures of 12 to 15 Celsius.
