Monday
A windy but mild day to come across the United Kingdom especially across northern Scotland with gusts possible to 70 mph in the afternoon. Outbreaks of rain are likely across western parts of Scotland, north west England, Northern Ireland and western Wales in the morning, much of it light. Fair and dry across the rest of the country in the morning. As we go through the afternoon a pulse of more persistent rain runs in across south west England into western Wales. Much of eastern England to stay dry and bright with a good deal of cloud and the odd sunnier spell. Expect maximums across the country of 8 to 12 Celsius.

Monday night
It windy for the evening and night. Rain spreads east into most of England and Wales and turns heavier. Rain too to come across northern Scotland. Overnight most of the rain clears away to the east leaving a few isolated showers in the west and rain across the far north of Scotland. Lows of 3 to 7 Celsius for Scotland and Northern Ireland but a milder night for England and Wales with lows at 8 to 12 Celsius.

Tuesday
Mild and increasingly windy as gales develop across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Gusts up to 70 mph may affect the hills of Northern Ireland with 60-65 mph across Snowdonia and the Pennines. These may strengthen further to 80 mph across the Pennines in the evening. A wet day with outbreaks of rain across the country, this heaviest across the north. The rain will be clearing away during the evening, turning largely dry overnight with clear spells. Expect top temperatures of 11 to 16 Celsius.

Wednesday
An other cloudy, windy day with rain sweeping back in across much of the United Kingdom. Perhaps it manages to stay dry across East Anglia and the southeast. By the night the rain should have cleared Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England leaving a few showers around western coasts. A damp night across Wales along with central and southern England. Expect top temperatures of 12 to 16 Celsius.
