Tuesday
A wet morning in eastern Scotland and northeast England. Showers across Wales as well as the west and south of England. Heavy showers may affect Northern Ireland and the east of Ireland too. The afternoon is likely to be staying wet in eastern Scotland and northeast England, the rain heavy at times. Scattered showers elsewhere, a few of them heavy, most in west Wales, southwest England and eastern Ireland. Tops at 5 to 11C.

Tuesday Night
Further cloud and rain in eastern Scotland and northeast England through the night, a further risk of some local flooding in eastern Scotland. Further west and south the showers will be fading away with some clear spells developing. Lows of 2 to 4C.

Wednesday
Low pressure across southeast England on Wednesday morning will be drifting slowly off to the east. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain in eastern Scotland and eastern England, most of it affecting southeast Scotland. Just a scattering of showers over western coasts and hills but otherwise it will be dry with broken cloud. Sunny spells breaking through. During the afternoon a front arrives in Ireland bringing rain here. Tops at 4 to 9C.

Thursday
A front passes eastwards through the UK during Thursday. The front brings some heavy bursts of rain with it as it moves through. Staying wet in central and northern Scotland throughout. Drier weather follows into Ireland in the morning, and then through England and Wales in the afternoon. Possibly cloudier in the far southwest and across western Ireland with a few spots of rain. Highs at 5 to 8C.
