Sunday
A windy day to come. Mostly cloudy this morning. An area of moderate to heavy showery rain to affect north west England and Scotland. This will fall as snow over the hills of northern Scotland. Across the rest of England and Wales most of the showers will be across south western parts of England and across Wales. In the afternoon we can expect a good deal of dry weather with showers across Scotland, Wales and a few across Cornwall. Highs of 6 to 9 Celsius.
Sunday night
It continues quite windy this evening as an area of showery rain spreads into most of Wales and much of southern England, some of it heavy. Further heavy showers to come for northern Scotland and these may edge into Northern Ireland where they persist overnight. Overnight that showery rain is expected to push north east into all but the far north west of England. Expect minimums of 3 to 7 Celsius.
Monday
It continues mild towards the south but colder in the north. A breezy day with many parts of the country chiefly dry with variable cloud and sunnier spells. Scattered showers to come around western and eastern coasts today with a few running into the Midlands in the afternoon. Little change to come into the night with a few showers in the west and east. A brisk north west wind develops in the night. Expect top temperatures of 5 to 9 Celsius.
Tuesday
Colder in the north today. Best of the sunshine is likely to be in the far south. Generally a cloudy day with some rain across Scotland and northern England with snow over the hills of Scotland. To the south it will remain fair and dry. A cold, dry night to come with clear spells. This will result in a widespread frost overnight. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 9 Celsius.
