Monday
The weather remains in an unsettled mode with low pressure close by. Expect a good deal of cloud with a few sunnier spells. Bands of showers will be swirling in from the south west across England and Wales. While some will be on the heavy side, some places may escape the showers altogether. Occasional showers will also affect Northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland, some wintry over the hills of Scotland. Highs of 5 to 9 Celsius.
Monday night
This evening most of the showers are likely to be near western and eastern coasts while central areas may be dry. Overnight we keep a fair amount of cloud with a few clear spells. Occasional showers to come across Northern Ireland, north west England, Wales and a few may be found near North Sea coasts. It looks quite windy across Wales and southern England. Expect minimums of 2 to 5 Celsius.
Tuesday
Strong north west winds across Britain today with lots of cloud and limited sunny spells. Any place could catch a shower but western and eastern areas may be the most favoured spots. Most of these look fairly light. Windy but mostly dry into the evening and night. It will be quite cold tonight with a few wintry showers across northern Scotland. Expect top temperatures of 5 to 8 Celsius.
Wednesday
Feeling colder today. Brisk north west winds diminish and back to the south west. Central and eastern parts of England and Scotland will be dry with the best of the sunshine today. More cloud to come in the west with scattered showers. In the afternoon some rain may edge into the far west. We may see that rain spilling into many areas during the evening and night with some snow on the northern hills. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 7 Celsius.
