Monday
Windy and mild across Britain today with gales in the north. Gusts of 60 to 65 mph to affect the hills of northern Britain. Outbreaks of rain to come in the north and the west, this heaviest for north west England and western Scotland. Generally dry across the rest of Britain with some brighter spells in the south. Highs of 7 to 10 Celsius across Scotland and Northern Ireland with 10 to 13 Celsius across England and Wales.

Monday night
Further gales are expected this evening and overnight with gusts possible of 80-90 mph across Scotland. 70 mph gusts are likely across northern England and Northern Ireland. Persistent rain is forecast for Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern parts of England. As it turns colder, snow develops across the Highlands. To the south it remains chiefly dry except for some patches of drizzle in the wind. Expect minimums of 4 to 7 Celsius.

Tuesday
A colder day to come especially feeling it in strong westerly winds. More in the way of sunshine is expected today across central and eastern parts of England and east of the Welsh Mountains. A number of showers to affect western and northern areas, these of snow over the hills of Scotland and Snowdonia. It remains windy into the evening and night with those showers persisting. Expect top temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.

Wednesday
Chilly and breezy today. A good deal of dry weather is expected across the country with sunny spells and occasional cloud. Scattered showers to come across north west Scotland, wintry over high ground. Outbreaks of rain spread in across Northern Ireland, Scotland and north west England this evening. The rain spills into Wales and northern England overnight, staying dry to the south. Quite windy tonight. Expect top temperatures of 5 to 8 Celsius.
