Monday
A cooler day today with a brisk north west wind across the country. Outbreaks of rain across The Midlands and the south of England will be moving south clearing from most areas later in the afternoon, however, the rain may linger across Cornwall all day. Dry, sunny weather then follows in behind the rain. Southern Scotland, Northern England and Wales will have a fine, dry and mostly sunny day. Scattered showers to affect Northern Ireland and northern Scotland. Highs of 6 to 10 Celsius.
Monday night
Through the evening and night rain may linger across Cornwall and the channel coast. A number of showers will persist across northern parts of Scotland. The bulk of the United Kingdom will be dry and clear. A cold night here with a widespread frost as the winds fall light across England and Wales. Expect minimums of -1 to +4 Celsius.
Tuesday
Any early morning rain around the channel coasts is expected to soon clear away. Most parts of Britain will have a fine, dry day with long sunny spells. A scattering of snow showers are possible across northern and eastern parts of Scotland along with the north coast of Northern Ireland. Feeling colder today, more so along North Sea coasts with a brisk north wind prevailing, light winds to come in the west. A few snow showers may affect Scotland to lower levels. A cold, dry and clear night for England and Wales with a widespread frost. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 8 Celsius north to south.
Wednesday
It remains quite chilly today but with less wind in the south, it won't feel as cold. Most parts of Britain will have a dry day with lots of crisp, wintry sunshine. There remains the chance of a few wintry type showers over the Pennines, the hills of Northern Ireland, Scotland and near eastern coasts. The showers in the east are likely to persist into the evening and nigh, otherwise it's another cold night with a widespread, sharp frost. Expect top temperatures of 3 to 7 Celsius.
