Tuesday
Some cloud along southern coasts of England this morning. This is going to be breaking and some bright or sunny spells coming through. A few snow showers affecting the coasts and windward facing hills of Scotland, but good sunny spells in between. Elsewhere it is going to be a chilly start with a widespread frost. It should then be dry with plenty of sunshine, and this is going to be lasting into the afternoon. A moderate north to northwest wind with highs at 3 to 8C.

Tuesday Night
A cold night to come with a widespread frost. A few snow showers over western and northern coasts of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. It will be dry elsewhere and with winds falling light, apart from along eastern coasts, temperatures will fall quickly. Lows near -1 to -5C.

Wednesday
High pressure is going to be west of Ireland on Wednesday with low pressure to the east of the UK. This brings a cold northwesterly wind through all parts of the UK and Ireland. There will be wintry showers around the coasts of Scotland, and a few along the coasts of northeast England. A further area of snow showers may drift south through Northern Ireland and northwest England in the morning, reaching central Ireland to mid Wales and the Midlands in the afternoon. The showers tending to be light, although they could give a dusting of snow here and there. Lots of sunshine for all other places as well as between any showers. Highs near a cold 3 to 7C.

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure builds on Thursday. This brings a fair day for most with good spells of sunshine, although feeling chilly again. A few wintry showers affecting eastern coasts and hills. Highs at 4 to 8C.
