Sunny & dry Widespread frost seiten=4 abk=focus
Thursday
A widespread frost to start this morning. There will be one or two snow showers affecting the hills of north Wales and northern Scotland, but for most it is going to be dry. Good spells of sunshine, especially through Scotland, north and western England, a little more cloud through Wales and southwest England. This afternoon stays cool with some reasonable spells of sunshine. Dry overall too, apart from those odd snow showers. Highs at 4 to 6C.
Thursday Night
Another dry night ahead. Frost is going to become widespread and severe. Some patchy cloud in the far west and south of the UK and Ireland. A few snow showers i northern Scotland. There is the threat of some rain for the far south of Ireland and southwest England later. Lows near -1 to -6C.
Friday
Higher pressure to the east of the UK on Friday. Low pressure to the southwest brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain to Ireland. A band of cloud and some sleety rain affecting southern England with some snow on high ground. Generally more cloud for most parts of the country, but still dry with sunny spells over much of northern and eastern England. Rather breezy in southwest England. Feeling cold for most with tops at 3 to 7C.
Saturday
High pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday, lower pressure over France. This allows for a northeast flow over all areas, this strongest in the south. There will be some cloud feeding onto eastern coasts of England and Scotland bringing a few wintry flurries. Northern Scotland could have further cloud with a few snow flurries too. Drier and brighter to the west and south with sunny spells. Feeling cold for all. Highs at 4 to 6C.
