This may be heaviest across England and Wales more light and patchy in the afternoon. As it turns colder late in the day across Scotland the rain may change to snow over the northern hills of Scotland and Northern Ireland. A colder, windy night with clear spells and a risk of scattered, wintry across Britain along with some icy patches. Expect top temperatures of 8 to 12 Celsius north to south.
