Tuesday
A wet and windy morning over much of England and Wales, Some heavy bursts of rain in northwest England and western Wales as well as over the hills of southwest England. Feeling mild everywhere. Drier and brighter weather for most of Scotland and Ireland, but some showers in western Scotland, Northern Ireland and the far southwest of Scotland. The rain band then clears steadily southwards during the day, eventually leaving the Kent coasts around 3pm. Showers turning increasingly wintry in western Scotland, and a part from an odd shower in Cumbria most of the rest of the UK and Ireland should be dry with sunny spells. Highs at 4 to 7C.

Tuesday Night
A cool night and a breezy one too. Bands of showers will be passing east through the country, mostly affecting parts of western and southern Scotland as well as northern England, Wales and Ireland. The showers will be wintry at times, falling as snow on hills. Further showers or rain in the far south of England, but dry to the east. Lows at -2 to 3C.

Wednesday
Low pressure northeast of Scotland on Wednesday. Bands of wintry showers spreading south through the whole of the UK and Ireland and feeling cold for all as well. There will be a significant wind chill in places exposed to the northwesterly wind. Fresh accumulations of snow over hills of Scotland, northern England, Wales and Ireland, and a few flakes are likely at lower levels too. Highs at 5 to 8C.

Thursday
Low pressure is going to be to the east of the UK on Thursday. A weak ridge of high pressure may build brigning a spell of drier weather, although wintry showers over northern and eastern Scotland. Thicker cloud may bring some rain into Ireland later, this turning to sleet and snow over the hills of Wales and southwest England. Highs near 4 to 7C.
