Monday
With temperatures below normal and brisk northerly winds, it's going to feel quite cold again today. For Pembrokeshire and Cornwall expect some heavy showers to come along later in the day. Most western and central parts of Britain should be mainly dry today with some sunshine. Across the eastern half of Britain expect showers on and off during the day with some penetrating in across north east England. The showers across the Highlands will be wintry in nature. Northern Ireland looks mainly dry today with sunny spells. Expect maximums of 5 to 8 Celsius.
Monday night
A number of showers will persist across easternmost parts of England and Scotland with a few across Cornwall and Pembrokeshire into the evening and the night. The winds will become lighter tonight and with clear skies it's going to be a cold night with a widespread frost expected. A few icy patches may form where showers fell in the north east. Expect minimum temperatures of 3 to -4 Celsius.
Tuesday
A cold, frosty start for many. It becomes windier from the south west during the day across western parts of Britain where outbreaks of rain spread in during the morning. In the afternoon that rain moves into all but East Anglia, the East Midlands and the south east, turning heavy in the west with snow over the Highlands. The rain clears Northern Ireland but a wet windy evening for most with heavy spells of rain. Snow is going to continue over the higher elevations of northern Scotland and perhaps the Pennines. Overnight the rain is set to continue across all but Northern Ireland. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 8 Celsius.
Wednesday
Increasingly windy today, especially across Wales and south west England. A bit milder today. A dry morning across Northern Ireland, western Scotland, Wales and south west England with rain across the rest of Britain. In the afternoon we expect the rain to clear from all but East Anglia and the south east. A number of showers come in across western areas. Overnight an area of rain may affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it will be a dry night. Look for high temperatures of 6 to 10 Celsius.
