Western coasts and hills could experience low cloud and drizzle at times, although many central and eastern areas will be brighter and dry as well as being very mild. More persistent rain in western Scotland and Ireland, this then reaching northwest England and Wales by evening. Highs at 11C in northwest Scotland, 15C in eastern England.
Boxing Day Day

Cooler across the rest of the UK too as high pressure builds to the south of southwest. Brighter for much of southern England with sunny spells here. Staying windy across Scotland with the risk of severe gales, Much lighter winds to the south. Highs at 4 to 8C.
