Monday
A broad trough of low pressure brings showers, some of then heavy, to Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England through Monday morning. A drier start to the day for central and southern parts of England and Wales with good spells of sunshine. An area of low pressure moves towards the southwestern part of the UK through Monday afternoon bringing near gale force winds and very heavy, thundery showers to southern Ireland, southern Wales, the West Country and into the West Midlands. Showers persisting over Scotland for much of the day. High temperatures at 17 to 21C for most. Highs reaching 22 to 23C for northeastern parts of Scotland and up to 24C for southeastern England.
Monday Night
Outbreaks of heavy, sometimes thundery, rain will continue over Ireland, Wales and western England through Monday night spreading northward and eastward into the northeast of England and southern Scotland by Tuesday morning. Strong winds continuing too for southwestern England and south Wales through the night. Overnight lows at 11 to 17C.
Tuesday
An area of low pressure tracks to the east across southern England on Tuesday bringing outbreaks of rain to much of the UK and eastern Ireland through the day. The heaviest rain expected for northern and western parts of Scotland, western parts of England and the north Midlands. Gales possible at times for southern parts of England and Wales. A mixture of sunshine and showers over western Ireland which will spread across eastern Ireland and into the southwest UK through the afternoon and evening. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 23C in southern England.
Wednesday
Low pressure clears to the east on Wednesday but trails a front across the UK which brings further outbreaks of rain to parts of England and Scotland. These may be heavy at times, particularly for eastern Scotland. To the west and south of this band of rain it should be mostly dry and fair for Ireland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the West Country, southern and central England and the far northwest of Scotland. Highs at 17 to 23C.
