Sunny, dry, cool Rain northwest Scotland seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
High pressure is over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. There may be some morning mist and fog patches in England, Wales and Ireland. These will be clearing to leave lots of sunshine and dry weather. Some cloud will be affecting northern and western parts of Scotland and this could just be thick enough to produce a spot of drizzle. Southern Scotland will also have some broken cloud and mostly dry conditions. Eastern Scotland will be brighter with sunny spells. High temperatures at 9 to 13C, mildest in northeast Scotland.

Thursday night
High pressure starts to ease to the east overnight from Thursday into Friday. It will be mostly dry overnight though thicker cloud to the west of Ireland and north of Scotland may produce some drizzle here. Extensive mist and fog patches are expected to form across England and Wales and in sheltered spots in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Patches of frost are also likely to form in more sheltered spots - especially in southern Ireland. Overnight lows range from 2 to 8C for most, milder under thicker cloud.

Friday
High pressure builds a ridge into Ireland and the UK on Friday. This brings a cool morning with plenty of sunshine and mostly dry weather. Early mist and fog patches should clear through the morning. More cloud in northern and western Scotland as well as the west of Ireland. Elsewhere it remains dry throughout with long periods of sunshine. There is a low risk of some drizzle drifting onto the coasts of northwest Scotland towards the evening. Highs at 8 to 12C, mildest to the south.

Saturday
Chilly to start Saturday morning. Increasing amounts of broken cloud through Ireland, Wales and England. Some good spells of sunshine for most. The best sunshine in the far north of Scotland. Rain arrives over the far south of Ireland and the southwest of the UK through the late afternoon and spreads further inland through the evening. Highs at 7 to 10C in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and the north of England, 11 to 14C across the rest of England and Wales.
