Tuesday
A windy Tuesday with gales in northern areas of the UK. There will be lots of cloud with some spots of rain and drizzle over hills especially in northern England and Scotland. There will be low cloud shrouding hills too, again most of this to the north and west. A few bright spells here and there in the afternoon, most across central and southern areas as well as in eastern Scotland. Highs at 8C in northern Scotland, widely 9 to 13C.

Tuesday Night
A breezy night and a mild one too. Some drizzle affecting many hills and coats in the west. Rain in western Scotland with hill fog here. Tending to be drier in central, eastern and southern areas, although evening here there may be a few spots of drizzle on hills. Lows near 5 to 8C.

Wednesday
A warm front passing eastwards through the country on Wednesday. This brings lots of moisture off the Atlantic which gives plenty of cloud. There will be some drizzle and low cloud shrouding western coasts and hills. More persistent drizzle and rain affecting Scotland, most in the west. An odd brighter spells may develop in central and east areas. A fresh to strong west to southwest wind. A mild day with highs at 9 to 12C.

Thursday
Low pressure is expected to be to the north of Scotland on Thursday. A front brings persistent rain into western Scotland and Ireland, this reaching the rest of Scotland, northern England, Wales and all of Ireland in the afternoon. Dry in southern England and East Anglia until evening although turning wetter in northwest England and the west and north of Wales in the afternoon. Breezy for all with gales in Scotland. Mild too at 8 to 12C.
